BIO

Rogér Fakhr is a Lebanese singer-songwriter and guitarist whose deeply introspective compositions have left a lasting impact on Lebanese music. Inspired by artists like Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and others, he developed a distinctive sound that blended Western music traditions with his own poetic sensibilities.

During the 1970s, Fakhr recorded Fine Anyway (1977), a collection of melancholic yet hopeful folk songs, written and recorded as war loomed over Beirut. Originally released as just 200 hand-copied cassette tapes, the album remained largely unheard until its 2021 reissue by Habibi Funk, which introduced his work to a global audience.

In 2024, after 44 years away from the stage, Fakhr made a remarkable return with two sold-out concerts in London and Lisbon. Performing to enraptured crowds, he delivered the timeless songs that had once been nearly lost to history.

Now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, Fakhr continues to compose, carrying forward a legacy of music that speaks to exile, memory, and the enduring power of song.
